The Icelandic Asthma- and allergy association was founded in 1974 with the main objective to fight for the rights of those with asthma and allergies. The association is a link between health authorities, educational authorities and other interest groups that are responsible for similar kinds of diseases.

The Icelandic Asthma- and allergy association emphasizes education and service to our members. To fulfil these aims seminars are undertaken and newsletters and brochures are produced by the board members or professionals in the field of asthma, allergies and nutrition.

The Icelandic Asthma- and allergy association has an office at Sidurmuli 6 at the same house as The Icelandic association of tuberculosis and chest patients (SIBS) On Mondays between 9 AM and 15 PM our secretary is at the office and is at the service for our members. Other days it is possible to send an e-mail that will be answered shortly.

Our founding sponsors research and training in relation to asthma and allergy in a limited amount though.

Our association is a member of SIBS and are in contact with other Nordic associations.
The annual fee for 2013-2014 is 2.500 IKR for adults but 1.250 IKR for children and disabled.
